Pura vida Costa Rica
Hola amigos! Springbreak, me and Anna went to Costa Rica. We had been longing for the heat a long time, so we were very happy to leave Belgium and take on the tropics. We spent our first night in the industrialized capital San Jose. We had planned to rent a car there that would take us from San Jose to the rainforest to the pacific and lastly the caribbean.
La fortuna, our first destination was intriguing. The nature was something we'd never seen before. Swimming in waterfalls, seeing wild sloths next to the road and walking in the rainforest wasn't something we were used to.
It felt almost unreal seeing places like this exist in our little earth.
The sloths are actually a national symbol in Costa RIca. I was so happy to see them, they seem to be living in a chill and careless bubble. I love it.
Our next destination was the pacific. We'd been missing the ocean, and we couldn't wait to escape the heat a little.

Ocean love

Mami chilling

Pacific sunset

chilling and surfing were most of our days here

Again with the surfboards

We stayed here the longest - almost a week
Our final destination was the caribbean side. It was a little colder than the pacific, but the vibe was truly amazing. The best Costa Rican food, reggae music, hand made jewelry and cocktails. Felt like paradise

Our little town was called Puerto Viejo.

Pura vida - the costa rican motto in life

We saw a little monkey

We went out most of the nights here, dancing, drinking and enjoying life at its finest.

Mami at the beach.

Us again.

Monkeys in the trees
This was an eye opening trip. I've never been to south america before, so this really gave me an insight on the culture and way of living over there, it was like another world, but i feel so grateful for having a little experience with it. And one thing we can all learn from costa ricans is to relax and take it day by day.
Edit: Some pictures are linked to a few songs we listened to in Costa rica
