Steve McCurry
Recently I went to the Steve McCurry exhibition in Brussels. It was filled with photos that he's taken over the years from his travels. Particularly from Asia, the Middle East and South America. The pictures portray a brutal honesty about the world. They portray reality in a beautiful but eyeopening way, and they make first world citizens like me see the rest of the world, the beauty and the misery of it. Places that are raw, cultured, different and beautiful. I hope the exhibition opens people's minds and inspires like it did with me, because this is education.
